Motion

Durations and easings, replayed on demand; what never moves; reduced motion.

Durations and easings

Each replayed on demand.

--duration-fast · 150 msA hover, a pressed button, a chip toggled
--duration-base · 200 msA list opening, a tab changing, a row expanding
--duration-slow · 400 msA drawer, a dialog, a toast arriving
--duration-drift · 7 sThe cards drifting on the sign-in panel (ADR-0041), never anywhere else

Easing: --ease-standard for everything that answers a click; --ease-drift for the sign-in panel only.

Reduced motion

What stops, and what the still version shows.

What never moves: figures, tables, the meeting board on the wall screen, a stage bar. A number changes in place; it does not count up.

When the device asks for reduced motion, every animation stops on its last frame, which is the complete still picture: the sign-in panel’s cards stand in place, a drawer appears without sliding, a loader shows the still mark beside its words.
